Round 7 of winter tennis is on this Saturday. Thank you to those slugs who have now paid their winter fees. For those who still haven’t paid, they are now due and payable at the canteen: $100 for seniors and $70 for juniors, or $120 if you are playing both. Please pay your subs this Saturday if possible!

I have attached a link to the membership form here so you can click on it and fill it out and bring it in to the canteen with your subs, or pay by internet banking and email the form to me.

2 Junior Tournaments this School Holidays. Entries Close this weekend!

Marcus is running 2 tournaments in the upcoming school holidays. A 4 day Junior Tour Bronze event July 6-9th, and a 1 day Medibank Junior Development Series (MJDS) event July 18th. We are hoping to get as many juniors from the club entering our ‘home’ events, especially around Wimbledon time.

Medibank JDS (MJDS) events are an opportunity for players to not only develop their games, but also for these players to develop a healthy attitude towards fitness and competition. The MJDS operate in the principles of healthy attitude, fair play and an opportunity to compete to the best of your ability.

Age Groups: 9/u (orange ball), 11/u (green ball), 13/u and 15/u events. Players must enter events in one age group only

Division One Boys are playing McLaren Vale at STA Headquaters, River Road, Port Noarlunga at 8.30am with;- Akash Jacob, Griff Blewett , Tom Smedley, Ben Wellington.

Division Three Boys are playing Kingswood at HOME at 8.30am with;-Michael Skouronounis, Adash Jacob, Mitchell Browne, Fred Oliver. ( Pierce Hynes in U.S.A. & Jackson Brindley injured & out for next two weeks.)

Division One Girls are playing O’Halloran Hill at Home at 8.30am with;- Caitlyn Hedger, Janye Hedger, Samantha Ramm, Jemina Hedger.

Some Senior teams are playing at Peake Gardens this Saturday, so if you could please drop off your score sheets into the canteen this Saturday would be great.

Round 4 of winter tennis is on this Saturday and it’s a home game for many teams.

Subs for winter are now due and payable at the canteen: $100 for seniors and $70 for juniors, or $120 if you are playing both. You can also pay subs via your internet banking, and download the form from the members page on the website and email it back to me.

Check on the Coming Matches link on the website for times and venues for this week’s matches, and juniors can expect an email from Jeff soon, or check under the Latest Emails link on the website to find Jeff’s email.

Also as mentioned last week, please feel free to click on any of the ads that now appear on the website, as the club gets a kickback from google whenever the ads get clicked. Tennis Australia is looking for junior players 12-17 years old, to be ballkids in the upcoming World Tennis Challenge at Memorial Drive on 13-15 January of next year. As this is Winter Tennis season, each team must fill out a score sheet and record each team on both, scores added up and each team must sign both score sheets as correct, then they must be delivered to my Letter box by Saturday night so I can enter the scores in Result Vault & post the score sheet by Sunday to the recorder.(Fines if not done, also no Premiership points for your team!)

Two Juniors teams are playing away this week, please put scores sheet in my Letter box & the Division one boys team please put the score sheet in the canteen at the club.

Second Round of Junior Tennis is this Saturday the 10th of May 2014 and all Junior teams are playing at Peake Gardens Riverside Tennis Club, Bice Street, Marleston and the squads are as listed;-

Division One Boys are playing Denman at 8.30am at HOME with;- Akash Jacob, Griff Blewett, Tom Smedley, Ben Wellington,( Alex Haskell & Sam Tarrant out.) ( Deman team did not win a set last week.)

Division Three Boys are playing Southside at 8.30am at HOME with;-Michael Skouronounis, Adash Jacob, Pierce Hynes, Jackson Brindley.( Fredrick Oliver to fill in when required.) (Southside team won 5 sets last week.)

Division One Girls are playing Happy Valley (Green) at 8.30am at HOME with;- Caitlyn Hedger, Janye Hedger, Samantha Ramm, Jemina Hedger. ( Happy Valley team lost by two games last week.)

As this is the Winter Tennis season, each team must fill out a score sheet and record each team on both, scores Sheets, then add up the scores and each team must sign both score sheets as correct, as this is a home game all score sheets to be handed into the canteen at end of the match please.

Hi All,

Have attached the Winter Junior 2014 Programme for you all (Will have printed copies by the 30th of April for you all.), Peake Gardens Riverside Tennis Club has entered three teams, Division One & Three for the Boys, plus Division One for the Girls.

As we have all join a new Junior winter season run by the SDTA we will have a new programme & Scoresheets plus folders that will be supplied by me before the start of the first matches, and all three team are playing away in the first week.

First Match is the Saturday the 3RD of May 2014 and squads are as listed;-

Division One Boys are playing Kingswood at Batchelor Reserve, Norseman Ave, Westbourne Park at 8.30am with;- Akash Jacob, Tom Smedley, Ben Wellington, Alex Haskell out with injury so Sam Tarrant or Griff Blewett who are filling-in for this team only will play in Alex place? (Kingswood team finish 7 out of 8 teams in the SDTA Premier Boys Division last Summer.)

Division Three Boys are playing O”Halloran Hill at the Cnr of Serpentine Rd & Chandlers Hill Rd, O”Halloran Hill at 8.30am with;-Michael Skouronounis, Adash Jacob, Pierce Hynes, Jackson Brindley.( Fredrick Oliver to fill in when required.) (O’Halloran team played SDTA Division two last summer season and finish 5 out 8 teams.)

Division One Girls are playing Dover Square at The Broadway, South Brighton at 8.30am with;- Caitlyn Hedger, Janye Hedger, Samantha Ramm, Jemina Hedger.( Dover Square team was runner up in the GDTA Division one last summer season.)

As this is Winter Tennis season, each team must fill out a score sheet and record each team on both, scores added up and each team must sign both score sheets as correct, then they must be delivered to my Letter box by Saturday night so I can enter the scores in Result Vault & post the score sheet by Sunday to the recorder.(Fines if not done, also no Premiership points for your team!)

Will not be chasing score sheets from any teams this winter season so please follow these simples rules or your team mates will miss out on premiership points and you may as well as stay in bed!!

Ok will contact all players listed over the next week & half to confirm you are all ready to play the first match and may the slug be with you!
